What is Giolt · 24th of April 2026

Today, there are 2 types of hosting providers:

  1. Is a monopoly, simple but tracks everything you do and overcharges you to cover for free users;
  2. Is more flexible, but once you get your server, you are on your own or have to rely on an unmaintained template;

Giolt was born out of the frustration that there are no good enough places to host our apps. We want to host apps, not maintain infrastructure or get overcharged for it.

Giolt wants to change that. With better community support, deployment for as many languages as possible, simple and predictable pricing, no tracking and no hidden fees.

What's our plan?

Our plan is to start with static hosting for Lustre apps. And as we get more adoption and more contribution, expand to offering serverless hosting.

We plan to make this hosting platform plug-and-play with community plugins that will allow deployments for all kinds of frameworks and programming languages. We also encourage contributions with discounts for frequent contributors or contributors that have made a lasting impact on our platform.
